About

Hi! I’m Rebecca!

I grew up moving around. My dad was in the retail business, so our family went wherever the jobs took us. Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Oregon, and Kentucky were all home by the time I finished high school. Just after graduating from BYU with a music degree, I met and married my husband. Since I was already well accustomed to moving; when he wanted to join the Air Force, I was on board with moving some more. Ten years, 4 states, 4 kids, and 4 deployments later, we were ready to stay put in Idaho. We eventually chose a 10 acre farm, complete with a zoo’s worth of animals to put our kids to work on.

In the meantime, I had been snuggling my babies and loving on their little cherub faces. I wanted so desperately to keep their chubby hands and adorable smiles forever (not so much the tantrums and potty training). In all of this, I was frustrated with my camera, back when digital cameras were a new thing. In the time between me pushing the button and when the camera took the picture, my toddler was long gone. I’d missed the grin on that sweet baby face. Then my friend introduced me to DSLR cameras, the expensive fancy kind where you’d pushed the button it took the picture right away. YAY!! All I had to do was learn how to use it… and learn I have. I just keep learning more and more.

So where does that put us, you and me, in this day and age where everyone has a camera in their pocket and there is rarely frustration with how it works? It puts us in a place where I get to take care of you! I get to draw on all my years of studying posing and light to help you look your best. Those years I spent raising babies have helped me learn to be patient and easy going with that toddler who won’t cooperate for pictures.  I work hard to make sure I have beautiful, timeless props for your newborn baby's photos in my relaxing studio. I find trendy and interesting locations for your senior who is heading out on their own.  And if you need help planning outfits for your family session, I can offer suggestions on how to pull it all together. I’d love to help you in any way I can.
